US soccer/Futbol has seen slow adoption due to its lack of instant gratification. Most US sports are built around small achievable goals (score the basket, get touchdown, kick field goal). Everyone one of these achievements is meant to increase viewer satisfaction. Meanwhile, it takes a global event like the World Cup to get Americans excited. And even then, our attention wanes back to the NFL or NBA where touchdowns and dunks are happening throughout the entire 4-quarters.  Ironically, baseball — one of the oldest and longest running spots is loved by many but still trails behind its counterparts (NBA/NFL). And what does baseball have in common with soccer? Much slower game with less points and irregular quarter mechanism (e.g., innings). Thanks for reading!
