The Federal Aviation Administration confirmed it has given California startup Alef Aeronautics the green light to start testing its electric flying car, marking the first approval of its kind. Alef's "Model A" vehicle, which can take off and land vertically and drive on the road at low speeds, now has legal clearance to fly. The $300,000 car has already opened for pre-orders, with $250 million in orders since October, according to the company.
